What we build
RatePocket is a budgeting app that answers one question: how much can I spend today? It covers personal budgets, upcoming bills and paydays, savings pockets and goals, AI receipt scanning, and shared Family and Split groups for households and trips. It is available on Google Play, with an iPhone version coming soon, and works in five languages.
Dawa is a medication reminder for Android, still in development. Its alarms run on the phone so they work offline, and its history never claims a dose was taken when nobody recorded it.
Why we write money guides
Building a budgeting app means spending a lot of time on the details of everyday money: how to share a budget over the days left, how to split a trip fairly, how to record spending in two currencies, how to save for yearly bills. Our users ask us these questions every week. The guides and free tools on this site are our answers, written so they are useful whether or not you ever use our apps.
How we write and check our content
- Practical first. Every guide includes worked examples with real numbers you can copy.
- Checked maths. We recalculate every example and test every calculator before publishing.
- Honest about our apps. When a guide mentions RatePocket, we say it is our app. There are no paid placements or affiliate links.
- Kept up to date. Each guide shows the date it was last updated. When something changes, we revise it.
- Not personal advice. Our content is general information. For decisions about investments, tax or debt, talk to a qualified adviser.

How we build apps
- Offline by default: the features people depend on should not need a perfect connection.
- Languages from day one, including right-to-left languages designed properly.
- Accessible: large text, high contrast and big touch targets from the first draft.
- Your data stays yours: no account unless a feature needs one.
- Ship, then listen: small releases and changes based on what real users tell us.
